1. Binnen Bridge

This wooden bridge connects park-goers from the Music Pagoda, which was once a theater venue, to the uber popular Prospect Park wedding location, The Prospect Park Boathouse. Symbolically, bridges are a beautiful place to elope since you’re “crossing over” into married life together! But even though The Binnen Bridge is relatively more quiet than its sister bridges, make sure to keep in mind that local bikers, runners, and dog walkers will pass by no matter what.

2. Binnen Falls

A waterfall in Brooklyn? YESSS! Right beneath the Binnen Bridge, you’ll find the sweetest waterfall which makes for an idyllic ceremony backdrop. The great news is that you don’t even have to break a sweat getting to it. Just make sure to watch your step.

3. Binnen’s Rustic Viewing Stand

While most elopement spots require some standing room, this unnamed gem is one of the few that comes with it’s very own natural seating. Located steps away from Binnen Bridge and Binnen Falls with a paved path leading to it. You can elope with sounds of the nearby waterfall and a picturesque view of Prospect Park’s Boathouse.

4. Lullwater Bridge

Prospect Park’s iron bridge overlooks the most popular wedding venue in the park, The Prospect Park Boathouse. Most couples take portrait shots at the Lullwater Bridge post-ceremony, but on early mornings and quiet weekdays, you can have this baby and its architectural eye-candy all to yourself. The same holds true for the Boathouse itself, which is a sweet neighborhood secret.

5. Rustic Arbor

The Rustic Arbor is a natural branch-like structure that feels like a romantic hidden oasis, walking distance from the historic Elm tree. With views of the lake and plenty of standing room for roughly 20 people, this sweet elopement spot is sought out mostly by locals who stroll past. In the spring, you’ll find ivy draped across the branches creating a scenic secret garden landscape of your dreams.

6. Baier Music Island

If you prefer interesting architectural structures with a natural setting, but definitely don’t want to hike for it - the Baier Music Island is right for you. Much busier over the summer and warm Fall months, this location is near the Lefrak Center, known for its sunbathing turtles, loud concerts, and skating rinks. If this is your favorite elopement location in Prospect Park, it’s best to elope on an early morning weekday here.

7. Wellhouse Drive Bridge Underpass

Located between the the Baier Music Island and the Rustic Arbor, the Wellhouse Bridge Underpass is perfect shelter from the rain. If you’re lucky enough to pass by as the sun sets, you’ll catch the rays reflecting off the lake dancing above you.

8. Peninsula’s Narnia Tree

This unmarked location is the trickiest to find but once you do, you’ll get why we dubbed it The Narnia Tree. It’s large shady branches are hidden away on the Peninsula, far east of the Well House and near the Prospect Park Lake, creating a perfect location for an intimate microwedding ceremony and even a first dance!

9. Vale of Cashmere

The Vale of Cashmere is located in the northern section of Prospect Park, closest to the Grand Army Plaza entrance. This intimate woodland oasis features a pool and fountain that is idyllic for private elopement ceremonies. This elopement location is Brooklyn’s own secret garden so if you’d like to feel like you walked into a storybook, this spot is for you. It requires a bit of a hike so it’s not the most accessible location, which is something to consider for you and your guests.

10. The Peristyle

This Grecian structure complete with Corinthian style columns is located in the southern edge of Prospect Park, right across the street from the sporty Parade Ground. It’s a large enough space to accommodate a microwedding ceremony and reception. The Peristyle’s structure is perfect for inclement weather and for couples who want to make a statement that WOWs their guests. It’s the least private Prospect Park wedding ceremony location from this list and runs parallel to the busy streets of Brooklyn so keep that in mind in terms of deciding what day and time works best for your wedding ceremony vision.
